Topics Covered

1. Approval of Minutes: Last month’s meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
2. SIP Reviews/Updates:
o Sip Waivers: There was a vote to have one primary and one intermediate grade level chairperson instead of one grade level chairperson per grade level. EESAC voted unanimously to keep the distribution of funds as is.
o Discussion of 2011-2012 End of Year SIP Review: The form will be forthcoming and will be completed by each grade level. The items are to be carefully reviewed and careful consideration given to any recommendations. The forms are due to Ms. Klein no later than May 8, 2012.

3. RtI/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates: Ms. Klein is concerned about the documentation being submitted for Voyager. The Adventure number varies from teacher to teacher. Ms. Klein is confused how this could happen if we all started at the same time. If you have someone who teaches Voyager to your students, please ensure that they are filling out the required documents in a timely manner. Voyager is a District mandated intervention. The data from Voyager is used for SST referrals.
4. School Operations:
Ms. Klein has not been sending daily emails because staff members are not opening or taking action on them. Weekly Briefings are to be read by each MDCPS employee. There are many postings under the “All Teachers” that you need to read.
Curriculum Issues: During the Week of March 26, 2012, every grade level will be testing students (post tests). Every grade level will administer a Reading and Math post test. Only grades 3-5 will administer a Science post test. Materials will be received prior to testing.
5. Open Forum Discussion:
6. Budget Reviews/Updates: The budget is very limited for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. The budget is based on full-time equivalent number of students (FTE) and contingent to any “hold-backs” from the District.
7. Title I: Recently, there was a review of all documentation. If there are any materials in your room that need to be discarded, please see Ms. Klein. No materials are to be discarded without her approval.
8. Comments/Concerns: There are are no comments/concerns from parents.
9. New Business: no new business items.

Adjournment: Following a call for "Questions, Comments, and Concerns," the meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
