2. Welcome to 3rd EESAC meeting of the 2012-2013 school year
3. Update by Principal
a. Title III award
i. Funds after school tutoring program (including ELL and immigrant students)
ii. We were awarded $8671.00
iv. After school tutoring will take place from 2nd grade to 5th grade
b. uMater
i. We have reached our goal of $3500.00
c. FCAT Rewards
i. We will be spending approximately $10,000 on FCAT rewards
ii. Students who scored a three or above on the Reading and Math portion of the FCAT attended a field trip on 12/6/2012 to Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park
iii. Students who scored a level five in all portions of the FCAT will receive a $500 gift card
d. Mater Academy East has reentered partnerships with the following nation-wide organizations for the 2012-2013 school year:
i. Common Threads After School Cooking Program
ii. Ritz Carlton Succeed Through Service Program
iii. Punch Boxing
iv. Miami Museum of Science
e. After School Care Program
i. 15% increase in enrollment from last school year
ii. $1,500.00 increase in revenue monthly from previous school year
iii. After Care program has added an after school soccer component with a volunteer coach (at no additional cost)
f. Current student enrollment at 614
g. Book fair will took place on November 14, 2012.

a. EESAC members reviewed and approved 2012-2013 SIP
b. ESSAC members continue to review the implementation of the SIP
c. Winter Show scheduled for 12/3 and 12/12
