1. Approval of Minutes: Meeting minutes were reviewed, updated, and approved.

2. SIP Reviews/Updates:
The 2012-2013 School Improvement Plan (SIP) goals and are continually being reviewed during grade level collaborative planning meetings each week.
4. RtI/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates:
The committee is reviewing the student data at this time. Please ensure that all documentation is up to date.
5. Title I Parent Involvement Plan (PIP): no issues.
6. Open Forum Discussion:
School Operations
Communications: All communications to parents must be approved by Ms. Klein. Under no circumstances should any newsletter, letter, or written communication be sent directly to parents without approval by Ms. Klein. Furthermore, these communications must be written in English and Spanish to accommodate our school’s demographic population. Examples of these communications include, but are not limited to, project outlines, upcoming events, etc. whether they are initiated by one teacher or a grade level, it must be approved by Ms. Klein.
Post Testing will take place the week of March 18, 2013. On Monday, intermediate teachers will administer Reading during the reading block and Foresight Math (multiple choice) during the math block. On Tuesday, the second part of the Reading Post Test will be administered and the Foresight Gridded Response will also be taken by students. Two subjects will be tested on the same day. All Foresight testing will be completed by Tuesday afternoon. Ms. Klein would like to send in the testing materials to Foresight so that the data can be at our school by the time we return from Spring Break.
Curriculum Issues - no curriculum issues.
7. Budget Reviews/Updates:
Ms. Klein has been unable to meet with Mr. White (spouse of Ms. Joann Welch) in order to price a sound system at a cheaper price. She will research similar systems from other vendors.
8. Title I:
The audit did not result in any non-compliance issues.
9. New Business: no new business items.
10. Comments/Concerns: There are no comments/concerns from parents.
Comment (Smith): There was a weekly briefing from Dr. Millard Lightburn that stated that Science would be tested in grades K-4. It did not say during Crunch Time.
Answer (Quintero): We will find out more. It might be testing for the quarter.
Question (Estriplet): On Monday, March 18, 2013, we are going to the Youth Fair.
Answer (Klein): Second grade will test on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Question (Quintero): Kindergarten through Second grade will grade their own tests and record scores on the data sheets provided to you.
Third through Fifth Grade: The tests are aligned on Edusoft and will be scanned. Reports will be provided shortly after.
Question (Salley): Foresight testing will be completed by Tuesday for grades 3-5.
