1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Welcome to 4th EESAC meeting of the 2012-2013 school year
3. Update by Principal
a. Scheduled and conducted FCAT and SAT parent workshops for grades K-5th lead by school principal, teachers, and school counselor
i.at these meetings district mandated exams results and in-house exams results were discussed
b. After school tutoring resumed in January and will take place for grades 2nd grade to 5th grade through April 18, 2013
c. FCAT student Pep-Rally scheduled for March 20th
d. Title I compliance review conducted and successfully in compliance
e. Mater Academy East has re-entered its partnership with Common Threads specifically to target 4th grade students. Additional components have been added to the program: small bites, garden class, and family cooking class.
f. Current student enrollment at 622
g. Book fair will take place on the week of April 22-26, 2013
4. Update by EESAC members
a. ESSAC members continue to review the implementation of the SIP
b. End of Year Show scheduled for May 15th & May 16th, 2013
c. EESAC reviewed the votes that had been taken at the beginning of the school year which concluded that FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive.
d. EESAC members made suggestions on the following:
i. upcoming annual art auction location
ii. FCAT Pep-Rally fundraising activites
iii. End of year graduation/ picnic for 5th grade students
5. Closure
