Topics Covered

1. Welcome/Introductions/Attendance: Attendance was taken.
The committee welcomed Ms. Crystel Moore, Second Grade Teacher.

2. . Minutes from the November’s meeting were reviewed and approved.

3. SIP Review/Updates:
Uploaded and waiting to be updated with mid-year implementations strategies. The Leadership Team is focusing on what coaches should be doing. Primary grades will receive additional and focused support after FCAT testing. There are a limited number of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) that students need to master before they are promoted to the next grade level.

4. Response to Intervention (RtI)/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates:
Meetings are taking place. All necessary paperwork should be submitted to Ms. Maria Y. Rodriguez, Assistant Principal as soon as possible.

6. Budget:
Funds as previously discussed were used to purchase sound equipment for the cafeteria. EESAC funds are contingent on enrollment at Broadmoor which is low at this time. When the budget monies are finalized sometime in April, a “wish list” will be distributed to the grade levels. This list will be reviewed by EESAC and taken to a vote. The monies will be divided evenly among each grade level. Teachers should be thinking about materials that are truly needed. Please do not request items that can be shared among teachers.

7. Title I:
A Title I audit is scheduled for January 24, 2014. The audit team will review the monies spent using Title I funding. This funding has been spent on purchasing teacher positions, interventionist positions, etc.

9. Comments/Concerns:

Kindergarten: Will Accelerated Reader be available for primary? Ms. Bhagwadin, Primary Reading Coach is in the process of finalizing implementation.

First Grade: Issue: Can we purchase T.V. for the classroom?
Answer: All technology items fall under the purview of the Bond Referendum.

Second Grade: There is an issue with the air conditioning. This will be called in again immediately following this meeting.
