3. Welcome to 1st EESAC meeting of the 2015-2016 school year
4. Update by Principal
a. High performing charter school
• expected to be high performing charter school again this school year; however, we are awaiting final FSA results
b. School website www.matereast.org
c. Current enrollment at 603
d. Early intervention program: for qualifying students in grades 2nd through 5th
• 2nd grade will start on October 19, 2015
• 3rd-5th grade will start on October 12, 2015
e. Open House will take place on October 7, 2015 at 5:30pm
f. McDonald's Back to School Night Fundraiser took place on September 24th and September 28th. Raised approximately $200.00
g. Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place on October 16, 2015
g. M.A.E. re-enters partnerships with the following organizations for the 2015-2016:
• Jose Marti Park
• McDonald’s Restaurant
• Amigos for Kids
• Common Threads
• Publix Supermarket
5. FSA Rewards Updates
• Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2014-2015 school year will be in effect; awaiting release of data/school grade for the 2014-2015 year: EESAC came to a consensus that FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive when funds are available.
6. Update by EESAC members
• SIP was reviewed by EESAC members prior to attending SIP Peer Review Meeting
• SIP was reviewed and approved by EESAC members after attending SIP Peer Review Meeting
• EESAC roster approved by members
• EESAC members came to a consensus that the EESAC funds will be used to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
• EESAC members reviewed and approved By Laws
7. Title I
EESAC came to a consensus that Title I funds will be used for teacher and assistant salaries, as well as to purchase Rally (Test Prep) consumable for 3rd through 5th grade.
