Approval of minutes: Mrs. Stroleny called the meeting to order at 8:25 a.m. The minutes from January 5, 2016, were reviewed and approved.
SIP Review: The EESAC is the sole body responsible for the approval and implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP). Mrs. Stroleny presented data from mid-year assessments: In English Language Arts, 85 percent of sixth-graders scored satisfactory and we need to improve to 93 percent as reflected on the 2015 FSA; 89 percent of seventh-graders scored satisfactory compared to 93 percent on the 2015 FSA; and 88 percent of eighth-graders scored satisfactory compared to 97 percent on the 2015 FSA. In Mathematics, 79 percent of sixth-graders scored satisfactory and we need to improve to 95 percent as reflected on the 2015 FSA; 59 percent of seventh-graders scored satisfactory compared to 93 percent on the 2015 FSA; in Algebra, 70 percent of students scored satisfactory compared to 91 percent on the 2015 EOC; and in Geometry, 88 percent of students scored satisfactory compared to 100 percent on the 2015 EOC.
Mr. Rivers presented data for iReady testing from Window 1 and Window 2. The mathematics data is as follows:
