School improvement Process (SIP)
2019-2020 School Improvement Process (SIP) Phase II Action Planning
We completed phase I of the SIP we created during Synergy. The Phase I Action Plan and Data Maps were shared during the opening of schools meeting. We determined to focus our Phase II planning on our Academic Needs and School Culture. -Riaz
We also did a professional development survey in which we reviewed the needs of the faculty.
Phase II- Region Review
Today I went to the ETO Region to review our Action Plan and it has been approved. We will email it to the faculty and then it must be approved by EESAC. -Riaz
Elections
We have a teacher opening on the floor for Ms. Hernandez’s position. Teachers are elected every three years. In our September meeting we will hold our elections. Parents are elected every year during our Title I meeting. This year we wanted to hold a student presidential election in which students could vote for the class president. We usually choose the children of the parents that are elected into EESAC but this year I think we should have an election were the kids can announce their campaign and run for ESSAC positions. Even though many students take the bus they can still provide feedback for us. -Riaz
Yes, parents get elected every year, teachers every three years. -Quintero
Review/Update Bylaws
We are reviewing the EESAC bylaws even though we reviewed them in our last EESAC meeting. Are we in agreeance with our EESSAC Bylaws? Riaz
All in agreeance
2019-2020 Assurance Checklist
This is verification of EESAC compliance. We schedule all EESAC Meetings at one time. We did this on July 17, 2019 on social media. We must approve the roster prior to September 15. -Riaz

We also need to keep in mind that everything the union has said about becoming reading endorsed is correct, but we should take advantage of the free courses that are being offered. We should also always look ahead; yes, that’s what the current law states by laws can change any minute and its good to be ready for that. -Riaz
RTI/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates
We currently have not scheduled SST meetings since we have to finish SST meetings from the prior school year. This year the process should be a lot faster. We also need to remember the outcome of the RTI process is to help students; not to automatically place them in SPED. -Galceran

-Curriculum Issues
We did not get enough consumable books for second grade. We have teachers making copies to teach lessons. I already requested more books and I am waiting for their response. -Galceran
Budget Updates/ Reviews
We are trying to enroll more students. Most of our students are coming to the fourth grade. We have until September 14th to enroll new students so that we can add a teacher to fourth grade. We might get another SPED and ESOL teacher. It depends on how we can clean up schedules. -Riaz
We really need another fourth-grade teacher. The kids have been complaining to me that there are way too many kids in the class. -Hernandez
Yes! Me too! They aren’t happy about it. -Moore
Title I
On September 12, 2019 Ms. Rosario is holding our first Title I meeting for the school year. On September 26, 2019 she has a CIS Training.
In January and March, we have been asked to host the CIS meetings. -Riaz
Thank you boss you always keep me up to date. -Rosario
