Approval of minutes: Mr. Rivers called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. The minutes from August 29, 2019, were reviewed and approved.

 

SIP Review: The EESAC is the sole body responsible for the approval and implementation of the School Improvement Process (SIP). Mr. Rivers said we sent a team of administrators and teachers to Synergy this summer to work on the Phase I of the SIP. This included analyzing data from the FSA, EOC, and FCAT science testing for Academic Programs; School Climate Survey and Panorama data for School Culture. During Phase II, the school leadership team, including teachers, developed Academic Programs and School Culture implementation steps . Our SIP draft was reviewed on Sept. 5 at a District meeting. The EESAC reviewed the SIP. The 2019-2020 School Improvement Process (SIP) Signature Page was completed and signed by the appropriate members. Mr. Sanatamaria asked whether charter schools also have SIPs and Mr. Rivers said that they do.

 

Official Business: The School Improvement Plan was approved unanimously.

 

Principal’s Message: Mrs. Stroleny said that because the purpose to this meeting was to approve the SIP that she no additional business today.
