Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:07 a.m. by Ms. Odessa Europe, EESAC Chair.
Welcome/Mindful Moments/Introductions
Ms. Europe welcomed attendees and shared a mindful moment statement “Be Well Day.”

Minutes
The December 4, 2019 minutes were accepted with noted changes.

Great Things are Happening at D.M.W. COPE Center

1.Family & Consumer Science-D.M.W. COPE Center students won 2nd Place at the Innov@te-CTE Challenge. The students created a video titled “Promoting Early Childhood Academy” which promotes their respective Career Technical Education Academies.

2.Technical College Fair and Health & Wellness Workshop -Senior Class visited Robert Morgan Technical College

3.Miami Diaper Bank (Dade Partner) sponsored a Hol3iday Bubble Show Celebration and provided gift bags and baby essentials to teen moms. The event was held on campus December 19, 2019.

4.3W Church (Dade Partner)- provided strollers to teen moms and sponsored a Commendable Celebration held on campus, January 8, 2020. A BIG Thank You to Pastor Perez and the 3W church family.


New Business

•Composition Waiver: Ms. Europe provided a copy to members present to preview and discuss any changes at next EESAC meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.


•Panorama SEL Survey Results: Ms. Edouard provided a copy of the Fall 2019 survey results to members present.

•The 2019-20 Teacher Days Absent through December 13, 2019 was compared to School vs. District data.

•The 2019-20 Student Attendance-Days Absent through December 13, 2019 of 80% (2018-2019) was compared to 62% (2019-2020).

New Business (Continued)

•The School Improvement Process 2019-20 Mid-Year Data Map- Academic Programs State vs. Topic/MYA Assessments by Grade level was also reviewed.

•Florida School Recognition Plan Proposal-Ms. Europe informed members the faculty and staff voted on this proposal and the results are:
Motion passed.

Geometry MYA District: 39.8% COPE: 25.4%
•One student at satisfactory level

•Develop Phase IV: Q3 and Q4 Implementation Steps with School Leadership Team

Ms.Edouard shared that new computers were received, and we are trying to get additional desktops.

Ms.Edouard announced we have two new teachers: Nursing and Design Services

Mr.Redmon offered a donation of children’s clothing for COPE babies and toddlers.

Dr.Gayden received the math materials approved with EESAC funds.

Ms.Europe received the USA Test Prep software approved with EESAC funds.

Ms.Edouard announced there is a Superintendent’s Town Hall meeting tonight at Coral Reef Senior High to address the school time change issues to the community stakeholders and employees.
