Topics Covered

OLD BUSINESS:

Budget items – school membership and Chamber of Commerce request by Ms. Donaldson for $175.00 to pay dues. Recognition of sponsorship from students. Ms. Donaldson has the ability to network with various businesses. Approximately $1,000.00 is needed for about 100 trophies, with an average of four to six given per teacher, and another $300.00 is needed for certificate paper.

NEW BUSINESS:

A discussion was held and a vote was taken on how the EESAC funds should be distributed. It was agreed that $1,300.00 of the $1,833.00 budget would be spent on awards for students at the end of the year, and the balance would go to the Media Center. .

Parent involvement for EESAC/PTSA – need EESAC brochures for distributing at the Open House. Recruit the use of the Crusaders per Ms. Blount to pass out brochures for EESAC at Open House.

The group discussed scope and sequence.

It was mentioned that there is a need for more parental involvement. One mother may become involved. Mr. Chester Fair will be involved. We’re looking for more parents to get involved.

Discussed SIP – would be benefit from leadership team.

We need to give thought to who we want to replace Ms. Hamlin on the EESAC committee.

Mrs. King suggested we look at student academic performance and chart student progress.

It’s time for the quarterly assessment – need to get with the department chairs to set dates.

The next EESAC meeting will be November 10, 2004 at 4:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:53 p.m.
