The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Sandra Ames.
The minutes from the previous month’s meeting were read and approved with changes.
NEW BUSINESS:
Ms. Donaldson requested EESAC to pay Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce membership dues of $175.00 for the school. The membership renewal is due in October. Her request was taken under advisement.
Regarding parental involvement, Mrs. King wants to advertise EESAC to parents – send brochures home asking for membership – before Open House in October.
Ms. Clarington suggested we have a Grandparents Day.
Ms. Ames discussed the School Improvement Plan (SIP). We’re required to do the NCLB percentages on all subgroups.
Ms. McKay said the scope and sequence can be used as a strategy for reading.
Mrs. King distributed the memo regarding Expenditures of the Lottery Funds Report.
The next EESAC meeting will be October 13, 2004 at 3:50 p.m.
On October 14, 2004 will hold a PTSA meeting and election of parents to EESAC at the school’s Open House.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
