Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:04 a.m. by Ms. Tammy S. Edouard, Principal.

In Attendance: Ms. Nuris Binett, Ms. Latasha James-Bodie, Ms. Tammy S. Edouard, Ms. Odessa Europe, Dr. Angela Gayden (via phone), Ms. Constance Gilbert, Dr. Ruby Jenkins, Ms. Laura LaFrance, Ms. Marilyn Morning, Dr. Sharon B. Pottinger, Dr. Argentina Quick (via phone), Dr. Tarika Quinn, Ms. Lula Randall, Ms. Jennifer Raynor, Mr. Darryl Redmon, and Ms. Mildreca Robinson.

Welcome/Mindful Moments/Introductions
Ms. Edouard welcomed attendees and opened with a mindful moment asking them to think about something they are grateful for in one word or a sentence.

Recognitions:

• Ms. Laura LaFrance - Rookie Teacher of the Year
• Ms. Shatoya Collins - Office Employee of the Year
• Ms. Lucia Gonzalez - School Support Employee of the Year (finaled)

Elections
Ms. Edouard conducted election for a new EESAC chairman. Ms. Gilbert nominated Dr. Argentina Quick for the EESAC chairman position. Dr. Quick was not on the zoom meeting at the time, therefore, Ms. Edouard contacted her via telephone, and she accepted the nomination. Motion made by Ms. Gilbert to close nominations on said name and seconded by Ms. Morning. The EESAC members submitted their vote via zoom chat box directly to Ms. Edouard.
Vote results: unanimous. No opposition. Ms. Edouard thanked Ms. Europe for serving as past EESAC chairman.

Ms. Edouard stated we need to update our EESAC roster.

Instructional Review
Ms. Edouard shared out the feedback from our Instructional Review was very positive based on the following areas:

Ms. Edouard shared out our SIP Status as follows:

Ms. Edouard gave an overview of the Parent Family Engagement Plan (PFEP). It will be shared electronically for stakeholders to read at their leisure.

Mission Statement:
To enhance parent and family engagement, access and advocacy in order to build parents’ and families’ capacity for stronger parent, family, school and community engagement, in support of measurable improvement in student achievement.
Safety Plan
Ms. Edouard discussed DMW COPE Center’s Safety Plan as listed below:
• DMW COPE Center following District Protocols and Guidelines-Daily Health Survey Sign In
• District following CDC Guidelines
• Signage
• Mandatory Masks
• Social Distancing
• Hand washing
• Sanitization Schedule
• Limited Visitation

Budget-Update
Ms. Edouard stated EESAC members are to come prepared to submit requests for available funding.

Minutes
Motion made by Ms. Morning to accept September 11, 2020 minutes with noted changes and was seconded by Dr. Pottinger. Minutes passed unanimously.

Ms. Robinson suggested as an option we could record EESAC meetings via zoom in order to refer back to minutes.
