Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:20 a.m. by Ms. Tammy S. Edouard, Principal.

Welcome/Mindful Moments/Introductions
Ms. Edouard welcomed attendees and opened with a mindful moment to inhale and exhale and think about what you do daily and know that you matter.

Minutes
Ms. Edouard confirmed quorum established. A motion was made by Ms. Gilbert to accept January 14, 2021 minutes with noted changes and seconded by Ms. Morning. Motion passed: consensus.

Ms. Robinson shared out that Ms. Binett informed her of a correction with the March 11, 2020 minutes under Great Things are Happening at DMW COPE Center on page 1. The correction was addressed in the 9/11/2020 meeting and the January 14, 2021 meeting. Ms. Robinson made a motion to amend the record to reflect the fieldtrip was administratively not approved. The motion was seconded by Ms. Edouard. Motion passed: consensus.

Elections
Ms. Robinson and Ms. Gilbert conducted election for a new EESAC chairman. Ms. Robinson nominated Dr. Argentina Quick for the EESAC chairman position. Dr. Quick accepted the nomination. A motion was made by Ms. Robinson to accept nominee and seconded by Ms. Morning. Voting results: Ms. Latasha James-Bodie-yes, Ms. Natalia Coletti -yes, Ms. Tammy S. Parent Family Engagement Plan (PFEP)
Ms. Morning made a motion to accept the PFEP overview conducted by Ms. Edouard at the January 14, 2021 EESAC meeting and seconded by Dr. Gayden. Voting results: Ms. Latasha James-Bodie-yes, Ms. Natalia Coletti-yes, Ms. Tammy S. Edouard-yes, Ms. Odessa Europe-yes, Dr. Angela Gayden-yes, Ms. Constance Gilbert-yes, Dr. Ruby Jenkins-yes, Marville Marcelin (Student Rep.)-yes, Ms. Marilyn Morning-yes, Mr. David Perez-yes, Dr. Sharon B. Waiver Process/Consensus
• Ms. Robinson gave an overview of the waiver process.
• Contract Language Changes- No changes- No leadership roles and responsibilities for a designated person

• Secondary School Reform (8 period day)

Ms. Edouard shared out the waiver process and school time will be discussed in faculty meeting on March 9, 2021.

Ms. Edouard gave an overview of the request to change school start/end time.

Ms. Europe volunteered to create a request to change school start/end time survey for faculty, staff and students.

Ms. Robinson made a motion to propose a change of school start and end time. The motion was seconded by Ms. Morning. Motion passed: consensus

8:00am - 3:00pm
8:00am - 3:30pm
8:30am – 3:30pm

Dress Code
Ms. Edouard gave an overview of school dress code policy. The school uniform colors are Shirts: Red, white or navy blue. Pants: Black or Khaki. Jeans: Blue or Black with no rips or tears. Shoes must have straps. EESAC members discussed that expectant moms can wear yoga, sweatpants or workout style pants in the school uniform colors.


Budget-Update
Ms. Edouard made a request of $300.00 from available EESAC funding to use for student incentives related to testing. Pastor David made a motion to approve Ms. Edouard’s request for EESAC funding of $300.00 to use for student incentives related to testing. The motion was seconded by Ms. Morning.

Community Partners/Student Voice

Dr. Pottinger shared out CHI is offering COVID-19 vaccines. Ms. Edouard will send information via email to faculty and staff.
