MOTION TO APPROVE MIN of Feb 2021 EESAC meeting.
FIRST MOTION MADE BY MR. AHMED
MS. ALBERT SECONDS THE MOTION

MINUTES APPROVED WITH CORRECTIONS

PRINCIPAL UPDATES:
Mr. Crespo
A Student tested positive for COVID, 95 students and 6 teachers were quarantined. The district has provided us with coverage.
With the vaccine rolling out and parents being more comfortable we are seeing more parents wanting to bring their child to school physically.
So far, we have not had a case develop here at the school.

TITILE I
We purchased 50 computers and 38 laptops.
Copy paper to print, supplies for each department and a few printers for teachers that need a replacement.
Last week I visited local elementary schools , one week prior to that we had zoom meetings in order to promote the school .
The meetings have been successful so far.
We placed banners at the elementary schools on the parent pick up loops.
We had an Honor Roll webinar with the presentation of the announcing of the names and showing the certificates. We are organizing a date to have a drive through pick up with goody bags for the honor roll students. Ms. Albert was able to get a lot of nice items for the students.
Attendance incentives:
The grade level that has the best attendance will be able to dress down on Fridays.
We had the Baking Innovate Challenge and Ms. Brunson’s group got 2nd place district wide. That is a great accomplishment. We also had a STEAM visit at the school. It looks like everything is trending in the right direction of us reaching gold status or keeping our silver status.
We are currently conducting the ACCESS for ELL test.
FSA Writing testing is in April. Students that are physical and MSO must be scheduled separately. We don’t have funding at the moment for Saturday or afternoon testing.

All teachers are eligible now for the vaccine. Parents may feel safer about bringing their children to school. We are a district of choice so most likely we might continue MSO. Information is changing daily.

Student Updates:
Allison Pena is not quarantine. She is excited about being able to dress down on Friday.

Family engagement Updates
Evelyn, our campus is a federal site for the vaccine. You can email or sent a text message to check how long the lines are. The whole process takes about 45 minutes.
Ms. Albert, picture day on March 22. Will those 95 students that are quarantine be able to come to take a picture? Mr. Crespo added that they are not allowed.

SIP WAIVERS:
Mr. Crespo
Mr. Crespo explained that there are certain duties or jobs that are done throughout the school these jobs are negotiated with the district. We must vote as a faculty to submit waivers. These are all necessary positions they are expected to be paid.
In addition, there is also scheduling the number of classes per day, we are moving away form the traditional 6 classes a day. Block schedule is broken up into two days. Odd and even days. The vote was unanimous for block scheduling.
The second item is 8 period days. Our teachers chose 8 classes this gives the students an opportunity to take 4 core classes and 4 elective classes. Some of the items that were voted on were: Saturday school, alternative to suspension. Sometimes after school does not work for some of the parents. Saturday school sends a message to the students. To accomplish this, we need to hire personnel.

Data Manager- Provides data to the teachers so that they can identify certain weaknesses and interventions.

School website manager- photos, videos or any information that we should put in our website to let parents know of what is going on in our school.

Gradebook manager- upload grades to the district.

Faculty meeting was held on 3/16/2021 to vote on ballots via Zoom.
Results of the Voting:
