Principal Updates
Good News we haven’t had any quarantines at the school since our last meeting. We have had some isolated cases of students that are in MSO. We have a couple of new teachers that started with us Ms. Perez-Castillo, and Ms. Acha
Our FBLA won 2nd in the state in website design, and 3rd place in desktop publishing.
We also placed second in the “Baking Innovate Challenge”. The winners are MSO students they came in and did a fantastic job that proves the talent that we have here at Country Club Middle.

Incentives: We are rewarding gift cards for completion of Iready. We continue to reward students for best attendance per grade level, with dress down on Friday’s. 7th graders have been in the lead for the past couple of weeks.
Testing we are almost done with testing for the FSA Writing. In May we are having the reading, math and all the EOC exams. We are going to have a couple of informational meetings for the parents April 27 for 6th grade.
The state is not going to use the test for promotion or graduation. Also, for the EOC 30% will not count. We are going to use the scores to place the students in the appropriate classes and do interventions and remediation. The scores will be useful for us to help them out the following year.

SIP
ESSER tutoring ended April 1st. ELL tutoring will end April 29. ESSER was a great help to us.
Title 1
Laptops were fully approved, we are waiting for approval for the desktop computers. We also purchased some printers for teachers.

Student Updates

Allison- I got contact lenses now. I learned to put on my contacts in 15 min.

Nevian- Done with his art assignment

Parent Updates:
Ms. Brooks parent- Dr. Miyar one of the things that I want to share is that there is a scanner or code that allows you to make an appt with a counselor. For the students to be able to scan that and a way for parents to get in touch with school personnel. Mr. Crespo will give the QR code to Ms. Martin for the teachers and then a 2nd QR code for the counselor. Mr. Crespo is working on getting the QR code on school website.

Ms. Evelyn Rodriguez- Our long-standing partnership with Country Club Middle we should consider having dual enrollment. Mr. Crespo would like to start doing that next year. We can schedule an appt any time after May 3rd.
Our graduation will be a drive through graduation. Ms. Albert is working on getting lawn signs, t-shirts and masks with the school logo.

New Business-
Dr. Miyar
Shared the EOY EESAC requirements and said she received the checklist for the end of the year requirements for EESAC
All requirements were met. They will be posted to OSI accordingly.

Meeting adjourned at 4:42pm
