Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 3:15 p.m. by Dr. Argentina Quick, EESAC Chair.
In Attendance: Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Ms. Odessa Europe, Dr. Angela Gayden, Ms. Constance Gilbert, Dr. Ruby Jenkins, Ms. Marville Marcelin, Mrs. Marilyn Morning, Dr. Argentina Quick, and Mrs. Mildreca Robinson.
Welcome/Mindful Moments/Introductions
Dr. Quick welcomed meeting attendees and conducted Mindful Moment: Breathing exercise. Due to technical difficulties with Internet connection zoom link was unavailable. Ms. Gilbert conducted member roll call.
New Member Introductions
Mrs. Edouard gave an update on the EESAC roster. New parent members are as follows: Mr. Robenson Marcelin, Mrs. Zaskia Tijerino, and Mrs. Charlene McNicholas.
Minutes
Dr. Quick read the September 15, 2021, minutes to members in attendance. Dr. Gayden made a motion to accept the minutes with noted changes and it was seconded by Mrs. Morning. Motion passed by consensus.
Instructional Review (10-5-2021)
Mrs. Edouard shared out that the Instructional Review was excellent and shared our school action steps. The Instructional Review team stated our school is a model school for the other alternative education schools and they have requested to come back to visit with teachers from other schools in order to see some of our best practices we have in place.
Title 1 Funds/EESAC Funds/Financial Matters
Mrs. Robinson made a motion to resubmit Request for Proposal of $200.00 for the multicultural club and seconded by Dr. Gayden. Motion passed by consensus.
New Business for the 2021-2022 school year
Mrs. Edouard shared out the After-school program, T.A.L.E.N.T.S., a new district initiative will remain at 3:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. due to scheduled custodial work hours.
