Minutes Review:

• Ms. Perez-Castillo elected as teacher member.
• Ms. Franco elected as alternate support staff member.
• Ms. Shawanda Woods joins as a parent member.
• Ms. Dre’Unna James joins as a student member.
• Minutes pass with corrections at 4:19 PM.

Principal Updates:

• Hispanic Heritage month concluded last week on 10/15/21.
• Dress down day was held to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
• This week is Spirit Week- each day of the week is a different theme.
• Homecoming dance will be on October 28th from 6 to 9 PM.
• CCMS won first place in the North Region Cross Country competition.
• CCMS’s cross country team will be going to the next competition.
• We have a few openings: math coach, para-professional, and clerical.
• Incentive committee met last week to come up with incentive ideas to motivate students.
• Incentive committee will meet again tomorrow, October 20, 2021 to discuss further ideas. The incentives that are being discussed are school-wide incentives.

Title 1 Updates:

• No major changes in Title 1.
• The core content departments will receive funding to purchase supplies.
• We are waiting for a delivery of computers that were purchased last year.

SIP Updates:

• I-Ready testing recently concluded for the AP1 diagnostic.
• A spreadsheet will be created by Mr. Crespo to analyze the data and come up with remediation strategies.

Teacher Updates:

• Dr. Miyar: EESAC stakeholders training for teachers, parents, and community members on October 29th.

Student Updates:

• No updates at this moment.

Parent Updates:

• No updates at this moment.

Community Updates:

• Ms. Martin:
o Students should bring their own water bottles, there are fountains that they can use to refill their own bottles.
o Students need to keep a second mask in their bags in the event they lose/break the one they are wearing.


General Motions:

• Ms. Rodriguez motions to move $2,999.99 to the Principal’s account.
o Funds will be used for school-wide student incentives and awards.
• Mr. Sweeting seconds the motion.
