· Meeting called to order at 4:22 PM.

Minutes Review:
· Minutes of March 2022 meeting approved without any corrections.
Principal Updates:
· The boys basketball team made it to the playoff game on 04/26/22.
· There was a band concert on 04/26/22 with Dr. Uban's students.
· There was a dance show on 04/28/22 with Ms. Salinas' students.
· There is a dance for the students today, 04/29/22.
· FSA testing will begin next week on May 2nd, 2022.
· Parental engagement plan:
• We have been engaging parents by holding meetings via Zoom for a
variety of areas such as testing, virtual school tours, and discipline.
• There are a variety of agencies that are working with students and
families to address mental health concerns and needs.
• There are surveys on the school website for the school climate survey
and a ESE parent survey.
· We have a few fieldtrips coming up: Gradventure and Fairchild Gardens.
· We recently had the third quarter Honor Roll ceremony.
Title 1 Updates:
· New monitors were put into the media center from the Title 1 budget we received.
· A new class was created for one of our ESOL teachers due to an increase in new students we are getting from other countries.
SIP Updates:
· We are in phase 6 of the School Improvement Plan.
· Mid-Year data will be reviewed at the next meeting.
Teacher Updates:
· Dr. Brinas: June 1st is the National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony.
· Ms. Cannon: I would like to see grade-level shirts with different colors for
each grade.
Student Updates:
· No updates at this time.
Parent Updates:
· No updates at this time.
New Business:
· Mr. Ahmed was re-elected as a EESAC member on 04/26/22 for another 3 year term.
· Black pants will be added as part of the uniform for the next school year.
Community Updates:
· N/A

· Mr. Sweeting moves to approve black pants as an addition to the uniform.
· Ms. Franco seconds the motion to approve the black pants.
