Minutes Review:
· Dr. Brinas motions to approve minutes with corrections.
· Ms. Perez-Castillo seconds the motion.
Principal Updates:
· We have the Homecoming Dance coming up this Friday.
· This week is Spirit Week for PTSA.
· Students will be allowed to wear a costume on Halloween.
· Dr. Miyar took her students to the Perez Art Museum.
· We have a field trip coming up to the Actor's Playhouse.
· There were a lot of events for Hispanic Heritage Month.
· We will begin with articulation soon to encourage future students to attend this
school.
· 8th grade students will be going to American Senior High School on October 27, 2022.
Title 1 Updates:
· Title 1 funds were used to pay for extra period supplements.
SIP Updates:
· Our target for this year is Math.
· We have two teachers that are almost exclusively teaching intensive math to help us make
improvements.
· There will be an Impact Review tomorrow to determine improvements that need to be made in the
classroom.

New Business:
· There will be a virtual EESAC training on November 8 for new members.
· There will be a vote on Referendum #210 in November to increase the salaries of teachers and school
resource officers.
• 88% of the funds will be used for teacher salary increases.
• 12% of the funds will be used for school safety.
