II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, EESCA Chairperson, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on November 16, 2022, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).

IV. Approval of Minutes from September 21, 2022
- Ms. Ledo made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. Bez seconded the motion.
- Minutes from September 21, 2022 were approved unanimously.
V. Florida Recognition Distribution Plan/Discussion
- Faculty voted unanimously for Plan A.
- Plan A includes:

- Ms. Calvo moved to approve faculty approved plan, and Mr. Feiler seconded the motion.
- Plan A was unanimously approved.
VI. School Improvement Plan 2022-2023 & SIP DATA Talks
- Data chats have been had with accountability groups.
- We are doing Topic, Mini, and Quarterly assessments in Math, Science, and Social Studies to monitor progress. The first Progress Monitoring assessment was administered to the Reading students. The second Progress Monitoring assessment will be administered in January. Mid-Year Assessments for Grade 11 and 12 retakers in English will begin after the Thanksgiving break and for Math, Science, and Social Studies after the Winter Break.
- Intervention is mostly done through tutoring. Afterschool program began on November 1st.
- Administrative Walkthroughs will be ongoing, as well as data chats with teachers.
- Cross curricular planning has already taken place and will continue to be an area of focus for the school year.
- We are looking for a math interventionist, hopefully to start after the Holiday break.
VII. EESAC Budget
- All funds are going towards student incentives.
- Today we had our first honor ceremony. 192 students received honor roll. Students were given a certificate, pin, and ice cream party.
VIII. Recruitment Update
- We have already had two proficiency exam days and there are four more scheduled. There is a lot of interest in ISPA.
-Magnet Certification application has been submitted for Distinctive recognition.
IX. PTSA Update
- Last school year we fundraised more than the previous year and we are looking to do the same this year.
- Actively, we have the Miami Heat fundraiser on December 10, 2022. Tickets are $20 and open to all ISPA family members.
X. New Business
- ISPA received 100% on the sanitation audit.
XI. Adjournment
- Mr. Taracido moved to adjourn the meeting and Ms. Bez seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:20pm.
