Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:33 a.m. by Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Principal.
In Attendance: Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Dr. Angela Gayden, Ms. Constance Gilbert, Mrs. Latasha James-Bodie, Ms. Johana Morales, Mrs. Marilyn Morning, Dr. Sharon Pottinger, Mrs. Mildreca Robinson, and Officer Regina Winfrey.
Welcome
Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard welcomed all attendees.
Old Business
Ms. Gilbert made a motion to accept the November 29, 2022 minutes with noted changes and it was seconded by Dr. Gayden. Passed: Consensus
Roll Call
Ms. Gilbert conducted roll call.
New Business
Mrs. Edouard thanked our Dade Partners, 3W Church and Miami Diaper Bank, Richmond Heights Middle School Marching Band, Frank C. Martin K-8 Center, Coral Reef Sr. High Key Club for the holiday celebrations. Additionally, DMW COPE Center Teachers & Staff were also thanked for going above and beyond.
2022-2023 School Improvement Plan
Mrs. Edouard gave an overview of the 2022-2023 SIP Goals during her PowerPoint presentation to members.
Current goals are as follows: ELA Goals: 50% Proficient, Targeted Students, BEST
Reading MJ/9th/10th grade Retakes/ESOL, SAT/ACT
Math Goals: 50% Proficient, Targeted Students, MJ/ Algebra I, Geometry, Retakes,
PERT (Seniors)
Attendance Goal: 100% Tested.
The recommendation was made to update the goals to the following:
ELA Goals: 50% gains from PM1 to PM 2, Targeted Students, BEST Reading MJ/9th/10th grade Retakes/ESOL, SAT/ACT
Math Goals: 50% gains from PM1 to PM 2, Targeted Students, MJ/ Algebra I, Geometry, Retakes, PERT (Seniors)
Attendance Goal: 100% Tested.
The recommendation was agreed upon by consensus.
SIP Focus: 1. SAMR (Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition) – Technology Infusion in Lessons
2. Develop Relationships with Community Partners
Mid-year Data
Mrs. Edouard shared out this year’s data will be used as a baseline year to determine Learning Gains for the 2023-2024 school year. In 2021-2022, our data reflected Reading 69%, Math 45%, and Percent Tested was 96 and we earned a Commendable School Rating.
FL School Recognition Funds
EESAC members had discussion over the 2 proposals. Mrs. Edouard will speak directly with all childcare, custodial, and security personnel on site today. Mrs. Edouard will send an email to all school site employees to submit their proposals via email to Mrs. Robinson on December 19, 2022 by 5:00pm.
Funds Available $5,132.00
Proposal 1: 65% - Principal/Instructional
35% - Non-Instructional
Proposal 2: 70% - Principal/Instructional
30% - Non-Instructional
Faculty and staff will vote on the 2 proposals during faculty meeting on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
EESAC Funds
•Proposals: Five proposals were submitted and approved at the November 29, 2022 meeting.
•Remaining Balance - $ 340.55
