Minutes Review:
Principal Updates:
• There have been several events since our last meeting.
• 15 elementary schools visited Country Club over the past two months for articulation.
We had a the parent of a gifted student come to Country Club today because they are interested in the dual enrollment classes through our partnership with Miami-Dade College.
• We had a magnet night on December 7th to showcase the various programs at the school for incoming students.
• We also had a winter dance before we went on winter break.
• Class t-shirts are being sold for each grade level.
• Sixth and seventh grade students are going to Bush Gardens this Friday, 01/20/23.
We had a parent night for the 8th grade parents in December to explain the contract and rules they have to follow to attend
activities.
• We have 223 5th graders that have applied for our magnet program for the upcoming school year.
• We have almost 700 students at the school now.
• We had an i-Ready pizza party as part of our incentives.
• We have the ESOL Rally to Tally field trip next week.
Title 1 Updates:
• Title 1 is being used to fund the extra intensive math classes.
SIP Updates:
• Testing is still testing for PM 2.
• We went up in all three grade levels for math from PM1 to PM2.
• The scores will guide us on the next stage for the School Improvement Plan.
Teacher Updates:
Ms. Perez-Castillo: We have a Friendship Dance on February 10th at 6:00 PM.
• I am trying to bring Menchies to Country Club for a fundraising activity.
• Dr. Miyar: ESOL tutoring will also start soon.

Ms. Espinosa: Miami-Dade College will be having a science fair on February 4th.
