 Previous minutes were approved.
 The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.) Progress Monitoring
2 has been completed.
 The window for i-Ready (AP2) is January 30, 2023 – February 24, 2023.
 Required in Reading for all students in grades K-8
 Mathematics for all students in grades K-8 except those enrolled in
Algebra or Geometry.
 Black History Month commences February 1, 2023.
 There are a host of activities planned, including a poster contest and an
Escape Room.
 Students will research about African Americans contributions and their
impact.
 Extra credit will be given to those who wish to participate with a
G.W.C.M certificate and gift card for the winner.
 School Improvement Process (SIP)
 Mid-Year Review is January 09 - 27, 2023.
 Mid-Year Reflection is to be completed by January 27, 2023.
 Phase V – Implementation Plan 3 is January 30 – April 28, 2023.
 Phase IV of the SIP was reviewed and approved.
 Florida School Recognition Plan
 Funds from the program will be used for non-recurring bonuses to the
faculty and staff. EESAC unanimously approved.
 Leadership Team is working with staff and the PTSA to plan a Spring
Social.
 Spike It Up is scheduled for March 17th.
 The District has incorporated Boys Flag Football into the Middle School
Athletic Program (MSAP).
 Coach D is requesting for money to purchase the jerseys.
 A total of $698.75 needed.
 No objection to the motion.
 Secretary Jay resigned; the secretary spot is now open.
 Spring Book Fair preview on March 4th.
 The following Monday will start the book fair.
 Received $2,358 and an additional 25% discount available through
scholastic.
 Dry-fit polyester shirt and green shorts with a logo being offered for
physical education.
 2023-2024 School Uniform
 Students (mostly young ladies) have been taking advantage of the 2-inch
above the knee shorts policy.
 The Leadership Team will continue conversations about possible changes to
the uniform (i.e. pants only for bottoms).
 Friends of Carver (date to be announced).
 Informational meeting with Carver Middle and Elementary friends and
parents will be held January 26th via Zoom.
 New logo on administrators clothing to highlight more the international
program.
 Art and Musical Theater have an upcoming show on the same date; different
times - everyone is welcome to join.
