Meeting called to order at 4:14 P.M.
Minutes for February 2023 and March 2023 were approved .
Motion was made by:
1- Mr. Sweeting

Minutes Review:
Mrs. Castells was nominated as a new member to replace a Mr. Ahmed-teacher member.
Principal Updates:
-Testing will start May 2023 through second week of June 2023.
-Ms. Borges is targeting all the Level 2 students to assist them to go up a level.
-Calculators were approved and purchased.
-ELA tutoring with Dr. Miyar taking place on Monday's and Wednesday's from 4-5 P.M.
-6th grade math tutoring with Mrs. Perez-Castillo is taking place on Wednesday's and Thursday's from 8-9:00 A.M.
-8th grade Activities-
- May 12- Gradventure to Universal Studios, Orlando
- May 19- Prom at Miami Lakes Hotel at Main Street
- May 29- June 2nd- Spirit Week
- June 2nd- 8th Grade Picnic
- June 5th- Ceremony
- Teachers will be receiving their Teacher Preference Form for the up-coming school year.
- April 18th- I-Ready Challenge Picnic with Pizza and Juice.
- Next I-Ready Challenge will be on May 14
- Flag Football Team are the Champions of the entire North District Region.
- May 31st Mrs. Barahona will be hosting a Dance Case in the Cafeteria,
- No Updates on Title I
-Student Update:
Kyle is always present to all the ESSAC Meetings. He said that everything is going well in school.
Parent Engagement:
- Mr. Sweeting was nominated Parent of the Year.
-April 20th- Fathers in Education Day, Dads and Donuts
- April 27th is "Take Your Child To Work Day"
Community Update:
-May 18the is MDC will be celebrating the Haitian Flag Day
Teachers Update-
- Uniform Policy needs to be enforced, which will be discussed on May 23rd, 2023
