Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:21 a.m. by Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Principal.

Welcome
Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard welcomed all attendees.

Roll Call
Ms. Gilbert conducted roll call.

Mrs. Robinson conducted the voting process with members present and each member verbalized their vote as follows: Mrs. Latasha James-Bodie-yes, Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard-yes, Dr. Angela Gayden-yes, Ms. Constance Gilbert-yes, SGA President-yes, Mrs. Marilyn Morning-yes, Ms. Maria Alarcon-yes, Dr. Sharon Pottinger-yes, Mrs. Mildreca Robinson-yes.

Mrs. Robinson confirmed that 9 votes were casted to elect Dr. Angela Gayden as EESAC Chairperson. Passed by consensus.

Old Business
Minutes

Ms. Morning made a motion to accept the February 27, 2023 EESAC minutes and Dr. Gayden seconded.
Passed by consensus.

New Business

Mrs. Edouard shared out the following:
• Contract Language Changes-No Changes
• The following items were submitted to the district for approval:
• Alternate Supplement Model
• Block Schedule
• Secondary School Reform (8 period day)
• Composition Waiver-No Changes at this time and passed by consensus
• EOY Assurance checklist- completed and signed

Roster Update
Ms.Binett added to EESAC roster as Alternate Teacher.

Dr. Gayden shared out the following:

Mrs. Edouard shared out kudos to/for the following:
• No Place for Hate Designation
• Students participated in Growing Beyond Earth (GBE) and Green Treasures (Fairchild Gardens)
• Family of the Year Winner
• Values Matter Student Winner
• Youth Fair Scholarship Winners – two Students

Mrs. Edouard shared out a “Thank You” to our Dade Partners for their continuous support throughout the school year.

Bylaws
Mrs. Edouard asked everyone to look over the Bylaws for any changes.


Student/Parent/Community Partner Input-N/A

The SGA President conducted survey of student needs and reported that students prefer more field trips.
Thank you, Mrs. Robinson for assisting Ms. Johana Morales with the survey.

Mrs. Edouard discussed the process for school field trips and she is encouraging student input on the kinds of field trips they are interested in.

Ms.Binett shared the Career Technical Education work-based learning is to build awareness of career opportunities. The field trip to Miami Dade College, Culinary Arts Institute and Hospitality Center, would have provided our students with hands-on work experience, was denied by Mrs. Edouard.


Ms. Binett shared out the following:
A student received Dream in Green Award for her bottle design.
Future Educators of America students attended the free Earth Day event at Frost Museum.

Ms. Despina Anthemides gave a “thank you” shout out for Teacher Appreciation Day.
