Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:21 a.m. by Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Principal.

In Attendance: Mrs. Latasha James-Bodie, Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard, Ms. Constance Gilbert, Ms. Esmeralda Martinez, Mrs. Marilyn Morning, Mr. David Perez, Dr. Sharon Pottinger, Ms. Charlene McNicholas, Mrs. Mildreca Robinson, Officer Lianne Quintero.

Non-Members: Ms. Teisha Chung-Smith, and SGA Secretary
Alternate Members present: Mrs. Brigette Moody, Ms. Nuris Binett, and SGA Vice-President

Welcome
Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard welcomed all attendees and asked if the body would like to vote to change the meeting time to 8:15 am due to arrival of off-site EESAC members. The EESAC members voted to change start time to 8:15am. Passed by consensus.

Minutes

Mrs. Morning made a motion to accept the May 16, 2023 EESAC minutes with noted changes and Mrs. James-Bodie seconded. Passed by consensus.

New Business

EESAC Budget
Mrs. Edouard shared that no EESAC funds will be allocated to schools for the current school year.

EESAC Roster Update
Mrs. Brigette Moody will serve as Alternate Principal on EESAC during the absence of principal.

SIP Review
Mrs. Edouard shared the SIP data Areas of Focus and School Goals for 2023-2024 as follows:

• Reading Learning Gains and Level 3 or above - 60% of students
• Math Learning Gains and Level 3 or above - 60% of students
• Students Tested – 100%
• Region Daily Attendance Goal – 82% or better

Mrs. Edouard shared out the following:
• Assurance Checklist and SIP Signature Page will be reviewed and signed
• Mrs. Brigette Moody is our new school counselor
• Ms. Tara Turner is our new Business Education teacher
• Thank you to Dade Partners: 3W Church for landscaping school grounds, pressure cleaning, and assisting with Stork’s Nest
• Dr. Pottinger-CHI regularly distributes health items to students and staff
• Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Tau Zeta Chapter has joined our school as a Dade Partner
• New Student Government Association (SGA) officers President, Vice President, and Secretary for 2023-2024 were introduced to attendees

Student/Parent/Community Partner Input

Mrs. Morning has requested the next EESAC meeting take place prior to October 27th to approve the minutes showing the review of the Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Plan (PFEP) at the current meeting.

Mrs. James-Bodie shared that testing is going well. Thank you, teachers, for getting students to come to school.

Ms. Binett shared out the following:
• Dream in Green students won district 1st Place last year.
• Recently, students participated in the International Clean Up Day community service event and picked up 322 items

• Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) students attended the free Earth Day event at Frost Museum


Mrs. Tammy S. Edouard adjourned meeting at 8:58 a.m.
