Minds of Tomorrow to begin 4th quarter

 

Program to revolve around 5th and 6th grade.

 

Computer Graphics and Rendering – Students will explore the exciting world of computer graphics and 3D modeling through hands on activities and projects.

 

Roblox Studio – Students will design and create their own video using Roblox studio, a 3D rendering and coding platform.

 

Animation Studio – Students will become animators in their own animation studio. They will learn how to design, draw, and animate 2D drawings using different platforms.

 

American Heart Association

 

February 20th: KHC (Kids Heart Challenge) kickoff followed by a STEM presentation focus on cardiovascular health

Will be discussing parts of a plant and using their senses to make observations about plants to create a sensory garden.

Will be planting pollinator gardens with students

 

After School Academic Tutoring Enrichment Program: for K - 6th

 

Continues until approximately May 2024

 

Title I Funds

 

a. Mater Academy East Prep Loc. 7037: received $10,591.00 of Title I funding for the 2023-2024 SY. The funds will be allocated to cover a portion of 1 teacher's salary and the community involvement specialist.

 

b. Committee reviewed the Title I budget for the 23-24 school year.

 

c. Approved: Title I Budget was approved by all committee members

 

d. Mater Academy East Elem Loc. 3100: has spent allocated funds for this school year with the exception of salaries

 

e. Mater Academy East Prep Loc. 7037: has spent allocated funds for this school year with the exception of salaries

 

Title III Funds

 

This program is designed to improve the education of English Language Learners (ELL) children and youths by helping them learn English and meet challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards. The program also provides enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youths.

 

Awarded: $13,764.00 including fringes

 

Awarded on November 6, 2023.

 

Updates by EESAC members

 

SIP Mid-Year review: The current SIP for Mater Academy East (Loc.3100) and Mater Academy East Prep (Loc. 7037) were reviewed by all EESAC members

 

Approved: No changes will be made to the 23-24 SIPs at this time

 

FAST Rewards Update

 

Approved: Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for both the elementary and middle school for the 2022-2023 school year. School grade officially 17th year as an “A”, released on December 11, 2023. EESAC Committee came to a consensus; FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all current employees actively working at an Academica managed school at the time of disbursement.

 

Additional information:

 

FAST PM3 Reward field trip to Disney for students who were in 3rd-5th grade last year and met criteria

 

Field trip tentatively scheduled for March/April
