The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:17 a.m. by Dr. Angela Gayden, EESAC Chairman.

SIP Updates
Dr. Gayden shared out the following:
• Submission of Phase VI which includes:
• Action steps in ELA: Frayer Model and Writing Component
• Action steps in Math: Formula Rearrangement and Math Bowl Game on Percentages
• Action steps for Differentiated Instruction: Student self-assessment logs for exams, tests and Tiered Assignments
• Action steps for Positive Culture and Environment: Additional Family-to-School Activities
Minutes
Ms. Gilbert made a motion to accept the February 7, 2024 EESAC minutes and Dr. Pottinger seconded. Passed by consensus.

New Business
Dr. Gayden shared out the following:
• Master Schedule for 2024-2025 is in progress
• Students will receive their Subject Selection cards
• Teacher Recommendations
• Student Selections includes electives
Family Reunification Drill #5: A Family Reunification procedure is used when it is necessary to release students directly to their parent, guardian or designated emergency contact due to an emergency situation that prevents a normal dismissal.
• State Law requires schools conduct Family Reunification Drills
• Must be completed week of April 1-5, 2024
• Safety Team reviewed resources, reviewed roles and responsibilities, conducted building walkthrough
• The Drill is 3 parts: We begin as a regular lockdown then move to Secure and end with Family Reunification Plan
• Superintendent’s Upstander Initiative-Accolades for Students who Help Others, Create Opportunities for
• Students to Do Positive Events and Show Examples of Supporting Each Other
Mrs. Moody shared out that additional Upstander information is forthcoming.
• Mrs. Morning has the lead on the PTA restart. The first Parent Academy workshop and Parent vote for PTA positions will be held on April 24. Dr. Pottinger will run for PTA President
Mrs. Morning shared out the process for starting the PTA and the goal will be to start PTA by end of this school
year or beginning of next school year. The PTA application will be completed and submitted.
Senior Exit Interviews
• Mrs. Moody shared out senior exit interviews are being conducted
• Determine Next Steps After Graduation, College, Technical College, Military, Workforce
• Track Student Outcomes After Graduation
• Senior taking a FLVS class in addition to her regular class load
• Senior working on CNA certification
School Activities Update
• Middle School student recognized by Fairchild Gardens for MS Challenge 2:
Giving a Voice to Fairchild’s Plants
• Youth Fair Design Competition and Runway Show: Students win 2nd and 3rd
