Meeting was called to order by Dr. Miyar at 4:11pm
There was no Quorum. This was a discussion only meeting and there were no motions to be voted on.
The discussion minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Principal's Updates:
-Tomorrow is the last day for testing and modifies schedule
-We will have makeup's next week.
-Students get the scores for testing the same day and it's great that the feedback is instant.
-Prom for 8th grade will be on May 17 from 7:30 - 11:30 pm and 140 students bought tickets
- The dance showcase is on May 24
-May 30 8th Grade promotion ceremony
-June 4 6th and 7th grade Award assembly
-June 5 FAST EOC celebration for those who got 3, 4 and 5's
-June 6 Last day of school
The last 3 days of school no bookbags and early dismissal
- Learning gains have been good
-'Level Up'- Clarified for the parent at the meeting
TITLE 1 Updates:
- We lost $45,000
- We purchased paper and supplies for next year
-We also purchased supplements for teachers
-Our enrollment for next year is 558 students at the moment
Other Updates
- There are a lot of ESOL students coming in and also other students
-The girls basketball team were undefeated champions
-The 8th Grade students went to Gradventure in Orlando
-On May 28- We will receive the FPL Grant check in a ceremony
-We will be soon getting out STEAM designation
-ESOL field trip will be on May 20
-8th Grade picnic will be on May 22
No student updates
NEW BUSINESS:
- Since we did not have a quorum we could not update the EESAC Bylaws
-Will be updated in August
- The EESAC EOY checklist all requirements were met and Dr. Miyar is going to upload the form
