EESAC EOY Assurances/EESAC Compliance:
EESAC EOY Assurances reviewed to ensure the school has adhered to School Board Bylaws and Policy and State Statutes for the 2023-2024 school year. Signatures collected for Mr. Lazo (Principal) and Ms. Welch (UTD Representative) -Ms. Delgado

School Improvement Plan (SIP):
End-of-Year SIP outcome was reviewed and shared via End-of-Year SIP Review. – Mr. Lazo

RTI/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates:
RTI procedures have been followed and have met deadlines. Many cases have been submitted and are pending. -Dr. Galceran
Leadership Team will conduct Articulation Meetings beginning next week. This will assist in creating classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Classes will be created strategically for ESOL level 1s and 2s, ESE, EFL, and bubble students. -Mr. Lazo

Open Forum/Discussion:
School Operation updates includes Phase 1 of the Bond Project. Construction will begin at the end of the next school year. Construction will impact the 2025-2026 school year. It will affect the 5th grade, art, and counselors wing first. Construction in all other areas will begin after. This will be approximately a 2-3 year project. -Mr. Lazo

A sample plan of new construction has been posted outside of Mr. Lazo and Dr. Galceran’s office for all to view. -Dr. Galceran

Mr. Lazo met with the region director today to discuss possibility of magnet program. -Mr. Lazo

Budget Reviews/Updates:
Mr. Lazo attended preliminary budget conference for the 24-25 school year in May. No surpluses for the upcoming school year. No ESSER funds will be available for the upcoming school year, therefore there will not be a TALENTS program offered. However, ETO funds will still be made available, as we will continue to receive ETO support. -Mr. Lazo

Will there still be programs made available to students after school during the 2024-2025 school year? -Ms. Welch

There will be money available for after school programs including tutoring, Saturday Academy, etc. However, these programs will not be made available from day 1 as they were made available this school year.

Can the EESAC be provided copies of the budget during EESAC meetings? -Ms. Welch

Copies of the budget provided to the EESAC will be looked into and made available if possible. -Mr. Lazo

Title I Updates:
Title I records and paperwork have been submitted and all that is pending are EOY submissions/uploads. All audits were passed this year, and we are in a good place with Title I. -Dr. Galceran

Ms. Lilly Garcia was awarded Rookie CIS of the Year. -Dr. Galceran
Students were provided with Parent Surveys, and we are waiting for forms to be returned. -Ms. Garcia

New Business:
5000 Role Models hosted an EOY game truck activity for this year’s 5000 Role Models. Medals will be picked up and distributed. Looking forward to great things next year as well. -Ms. Welch

Comments/Concerns:
In previous years, the school has had teachers and parents donate $5 towards PTA. Perhaps it is something we can look into for the upcoming school year. -Ms. Welch

Danny Puello, 5th Grade Student Representative, expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to be a part of the EESAC committee this year and for the support of his teachers and administrators.
