Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:12 a.m. by Dr. Angela Gayden, EESAC Chairman.

Ms. Gilbert conducted roll call.
Minutes
Ms. Gilbert made a motion to accept the March 19, 2024 EESAC minutes and Mrs. Morning seconded. Passed by consensus.
Old Business
SIP Updates
Dr. Gayden shared out the following:
• Faculty and Students completed surveys for Summer Synergy data to be used to write next year’s SIP
• Work in progress-Continuous Improvement Reflection Worksheet:
Waiting for data from PM3 ELA and Math
• Strengths and Opportunities reviewed with teachers:
• Technology, SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition), Webb’s Depth of Knowledge used consistently in classes
• Use of math skills in other courses aided in students’ retention of math knowledge
• Teachers using Differentiated Instruction for 30% of class time
• Multiple family engagement activities increased parental involvement by 39%
Updated Testing Information
Completed Exams:
• Biology EOC
• U. S. History EOC: student earned a 5 and another a 3!
• Grade 8 SSA: student earned a 3!
Upcoming Exams:

• May 17-Math PM 3
• May 21-Algebra/Geometry EOC
• May 22-Reading PM 3
Our Testing Goal for this year:
• 60% of students making learning gains or reaching proficiency in all tested areas

Dr. Gayden shared out the following:
EESAC Schoology Collaboration Site-The Office of School Improvement is currently relocating the Teams EESAC collaboration webpage from Microsoft Teams to Schoology located at EESAC Chairs | Schoology.
School Theme 2024-2025
• Theme suggestions welcomed from all stakeholders
• Voting by Teachers and Staff
• Nineteen votes submitted
• Be Empowered! chosen as our new school theme
School Uniform Policy
• We are a School Uniform School. Our current uniform policy is:
• Polo Shirts: red, white or navy blue
• Pants: khaki, navy blue, or jeans with no rips or tears, and Yoga pants –plain and only for pregnant girls
• Shoes: Closed toe shoes with heel straps-no Crocs
• School Spirit wear
