II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, EESAC Chairperson, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on September 17, 2024, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA) in the Media Center and via Zoom Meeting.

IV. Approval of Minutes from May 8, 2024
- Mr. Taracido made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. B. Sanchez seconded the motion.
- Minutes from May 8, 2024, were approved unanimously.

V. Introduction of New Parent/Teacher Members
- New student members are Audrey Linder (Alternate Student) and Melissa Quesada (Alternate Student).
- New parent members are Bernice Cardenas and Paula D’Orsi.
- New business/community rep member is Pedro Luis.
- New educational support member is Joany Bryson.

Opening of Schools Update
- Student enrollment is currently 376 students.
- Testing has already started. 9th and 10th grade students did the FAST Reading PM 1.
- Students pending graduation requirement assessments took the FAST Reading Retake and/or BEST Algebra 1 EOC.
- ISPA welcomed three new faculty members this year. Ms. Palomino (English), Ms. Machuca (Mathematics), and Mr. Santacoloma (Music).
-ISPA welcomed back Ms. Capdevila. She is the ESOL paraprofessional.

VI. Safety & Security
- We continue to conduct the required drills and maintain students and teachers informed of any new protocols.
- An exception to keep the side gate open was submitted, since there is a second gate before getting into the underground parking. All other gates and doors will be locked.
- A window shade has been installed on every door that has a window. The shade will remain up so that there is visibility into the classroom during instruction. If there is an emergency, the shades will be drawn.

VII. School Improvement Plan 2024-2025 / EESAC Bylaws/Revisions
- Areas of focus: Instructional Practice relating to Social Studies, Instructional Practice relating Mathematics, Instructional Practice relating to ELA, and Positive Culture and Environment relating to Early Warning System (Attendance).
- School Improvement Plan Phase 1 & Phase 2 was presented to EESAC members by Ms. Alamo at the meeting.
- Mr. Taracido made a motion to approve the SIP, and Ms. Lancis seconded the motion.
- SIP 2024-2025 was approved unanimously.
- No bylaws revisions needed at this time.
- No composition waiver requests needed at this time.
- Ms. Alamo will verify EESAC Roster.
- 2024-2025 SIP Signature Page will be completed, signed by appropriate individuals, and submitted to district.

VIII. EESAC Budge
- At this time, we have not received any information on EESAC funds. We hope to have an update by the next meeting.

IX. Open House Overview
- Open House was a success.
- Many parents attended.
- Student volunteers assisted parents throughout the evening.

X. PTSA Update
- PTSA had no updates.

XI. New Business
- No new business was discussed.

XII. Adjournment
- Mr. Padilla moved to adjourn the meeting and Ms. Lancis seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm.
