Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:18 a.m. by Dr. Angela Gayden, EESAC Chair.

In Attendance: Ms. Nuris Binett, Ms. Natalie Cobbs, Mrs. Tammy Edouard, Dr. Angela Gayden, Ms. Constance Gilbert, Mrs. Marilyn Morning, Dr. Sharon Pottinger, SGA President, and Mrs. Mildreca Robinson.

Alternate Members present: SGA Vice President, Mrs. Patricia Johnson and Mrs. Brigette Moody
Non-Members: Mrs. Jennifer Raynor

Welcome
Mrs. Edouard welcomed all attendees.

Roll Call
Ms. Gilbert conducted roll call.

Minutes
Mrs. Moody made a motion to accept the October 08, 2024, EESAC minutes with noted changes and Mrs. Morning seconded. Passed by consensus.

SIP Updates
Dr. Gayden shared out the following:
UniSig Grant Funding revisions were made and we are awaiting approval from the District/State.

School Recognition Funds
The committee has met and will meet again after Thanksgiving Holiday Recess to discuss the process and request for proposals.

By-Laws Review
Dr. Gayden shared out the current By-Laws hardcopy and emailed were provided to members to review for any deletions or omissions. Dr. Gayden asked members present if there were any changes to the DMW COPE Center By-Laws.
Dr. Pottinger made a motion to accept the current DMW COPE Center By-Laws and seconded by Ms. Cobbs.
Passed by consensus.

Attendance Boundaries Committee (ABC)
Mrs. Edouard shared out this process comes up every year and it goes before the MDCPS school board. However, nothing has changed for our region. Our school boundaries cover Flagler Street to Florida City. We will complete the ABC form with signatures from Administration, EESAC Chairman, and SGA President, acknowledging we are aware that there’s going to be a meeting at the school district about the boundaries.

Parent-Family Engagement Plan (PFEP)
• Mrs. Edouard gave a brief overview of the PFEP six pillars to increase parent engagement and involvement as shared by Title 1 covering:
• Parenting
e Communication
• Volunteerism
• Home Learning
• Decision-Making
• Community Collaboration

Mrs. Edouard also shared out the PFEP information will be shared with students. The District and Mrs. Morning set up parent meetings via zoom and in Spanish through the Parent and Family Engagement Office and the Parent Academy.

Mrs. Morning shared out the District Advisory Council (DAC) and PAC parent meetings are available via zoom and flyers are provided to students to share with their parents. Mrs. Gonzalez also assisted with flyer translation and during the parent meetings.

Mrs. Moody shared out the DAC and PAC parent meetings are also pre-recorded and available as well.
A motion was made by Mrs. Moody to accept the PFEP and seconded by Ms. Cobbs. Passed by consensus.


Ms. Binett provided an overview handout of various activities & announcements from Career Technical Education (CTE), Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA), Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Fairchild Challenge, Dream In Green Initiatives, and Community Action, which included acknowledging Dr. Pottinger for her collaboration and support during the Culinary Arts class and Mrs. Garcia for her participation in the International Clean Up Day activity.
