Approval of previous minutes
- Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Principal’s message, Mrs. I. Artime.
- We are in the midst of testing; AP exams and Science tests will be administered this week.
- EOCs will be administered next week.
- Parent / Student Orientations will be held May 19 (IS students) and May 21 (IE students).
- Principal’s Honor Roll luncheon is scheduled for May 23, 2025.
- There will be an event for Mothers on May 27, 2025.
- Student devices will be returned and yearbook will be picked up as follows:
• May 27 (8th grade)
• May 28 (7th grade)
• May 29th (6th grade)
- International Awards ceremony is scheduled for June (details will follow).
- On June 5th there will an alumni gathering (graduating seniors that are former Carver students will return).
- On June 5th there will be a Sports Banquet.
- June 5th is the 8th grade banquet. Parents and students will receive additional information from the 8th grade Team leaders.
School Improvement Process (monitoring, implementation, review, etc.), Mr. S. Rivers, Assistant Principal.
- Mr. Rivers discussed and reviewed the 2024-2025 End-Of-Year Assurances Checklist (Verification of EESAC Compliance).
- Mr. Rivers also discussed and reviewed the 2024-2025 Continuous Improvement Reflection Worksheet (End-of-Year Reflection).
- The End-Of-Year Review and Reflection, Phase VII of the School Improvement Process (SIP), requires teachers to collaborate with their School
Leadership Team to provide meaningful input following the review of the SIP implemented during the 2024-2025 school year.
Old/New business
- Ms. Khan will be assisting students with Hazel Telehealth issues related to physical health services.
- Ms. Buzainz will be assisting students with Hazel Telehealth issues related to mental health services.
Announcements/Open Forum.
- Ms. Basso, Ms. Peralta, and Ms. Garcia will be retiring at the end of the school year.
- Ms. Vinat (UTD) mentioned that the union has elected new officers.
- Ms. Vinat (UTD) mentioned that Mr. Calloway will serve as the UTD Alternate.
- Three students were invited to participate in the Broad Com Science competition.
- Mr. Sands reported on the Washington, DC trip; students behaved exceptionally well; they asked
tons of questions and made connections to what they have been learning throughout the school
year in Social Studies.
