Call to Order
The EESAC meeting was called to order at 8:09 a.m. by Dr. Angela Gayden, EESAC Chair.
In Attendance: Ms. Sabrina Bayona, Ms. Nuris Binett, Ms. Natalie Cobbs, Mrs. Tammy Edouard, Dr. Angela Gayden, Ms. Constance Gilbert, Mrs. Marilyn Morning, Mr. David Perez, Dr. Sharon Pottinger, Mrs. Mildreca Robinson, and
SGA President.
Alternate Members present: Mrs. Brigette Moody and SGA Vice President

Welcome
Mrs. Edouard welcomed all attendees, including new SGA and EESAC members. Mrs. Edouard thanked Dr. Pottinger for her dedication and years of service at COPE and wished her the best as she retires Wednesday, September 10, 2025. The EESAC members applauded Dr. Pottinger and wished her well.

Ms. Gilbert conducted roll call.
Minutes
Mrs. Robinson made a motion to accept the May 13, 2025, minutes and Dr. Pottinger seconded. Passed by consensus.
SIP Updates/Review
Dr. Gayden shared the following:
• We are a Commendable Rated School. This is the fourth year we have received a Commendable Rating. Our goal is to maintain a Commendable Rating.
SIP Goals
• Learning Gains/Proficiency in Reading/Math at 60+
• EOC Scores at 60+
• CTE Certifications at 60+
• Students tested 100%
• 100% Graduation rate
• Attendance at 85%+
• Every opportunity for eligible students to take concordant exams

Assurances Checklist was reviewed with the EESAC Committee. The required documents were signed and will be submitted to Region.

Dr. Pottinger made a motion to accept the School Improvement Plan for 2025-2026 and Mrs. Morning seconded.
Parent-Family Engagement Plan (PFEP)
Mrs. Morning distributed the PFEP handout and provided an overview of activities, tasks, annual parent meetings, flexible parent engagement, and Title 1 compliance. The PFEP will be presented to parents at the next Title 1 meeting scheduled today, Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The PFEP was shared with the faculty during the September faculty meeting.
By-Laws
Dr. Gayden stated our bylaws were reviewed by the EESAC last year and are still in compliance. EESAC members were asked to review, discuss and vote for the bylaws. Mrs. Morning made a motion to accept the current EESAC By-Laws for the 2025-2026 school year and Ms. Cobbs seconded.
Passed by consensus.

• Monthly Attendance Incentive-Treats & Eats
• SGA Voting
• Million Orchid Project STEMLab Visit
• Fairchild Challenge-students received family passes to visit the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens bug
Exhibit and Vizcaya
• Dream in Green-Ladies Going Green earned 2nd Place in the 2024-2025 Outstanding Green School
Award. Students have participated in this activity for the past seven years.
