Approval of previous minutes.
Principal's Message - Mrs. I. Artime:
- Ms. Artime spoke briefly about Google Classroom; will be adopted by the District next school year.
- Some teachers are using Google Classroom and have used it in the past.
- Teachers are being trained on Google Classroom.
- We will host a Holiday Music Show (this evening at 5:00 pm).
- PTSA has partnered with Shake Shack for a "dine-in" experience; portion of the proceeds will be shared with our PTSA; students, faculty, staff, and
families are encouraged to participate.
- Ms. Artime reminded EESAC that our school's website provides a wealth of resources for families.
- We will begin PM-2 testing after recess.
School Improvement Process (monitoring, implementation, review, etc.) - Mr. S. Rivers, Assistant Principal:
- Mr. Rivers reminded the EESAC that SIP is a living document.
- We are currently monitoring / implementing the actions steps that are outlined in the SIP.
- Phase V Mid-Year Review and Reflection and Phase VI End-of-Year Implementation are scheduled for next year (January 2026). Additional details
will be discussed as the information becomes available.
Old/New business:
- Mr. Rivers shared information regarding the 2025-2026 Initially Targeted and Initially Advised Schools for Attendance Boundaries.
- Ms. Artime shared information regarding the Choice Expo and Showcase that will be held at Miami Dade College (West Campus) on December 13,
2025.
- Mr. Rivers shared information regarding the Cardiac Emergency Response Drill that is scheduled for December 12, 2025.
- Ms. Artime shared information regarding the Florida School Recognition Program.
- Mr. Sands gave an update regarding the trip to Washington, DC; scheduled for April 16-19, 2026. Additional information will be provided later.
