Ms. Lebena discussed that the BBQ for Saturday school went over very well on December 15, 2007. The BBQ grill was found by Ms. Anne Marie Hobson and was paid for by CCMS.

Ms. Harris discussed the upcoming FCAT field trip to Universal Studios. She re-emphasized the importance of positive reinforcement for our students. She informed the committee that the t-shirts for the students going on the trip would be $4.00. All students that fit the criteria will receive the shirts. There were 113 students that paid to go on the trip and there were 3 buses chartered. There will be plenty of room on the buses.

Also discussed by Ms. Harris was the State visit on December 14, 2007. She let the committee know that the feedback was very positive and that CCMS is making great progress. She encouraged the teachers and students to keep up the good work.

Coach Covone discussed that on Sunday, January 27 the students will be going to the ING marathon. They will run the last 1.2 miles. The students did 25 miles @CCMS and the last part of the marathon will be run by the rest of MDCPS.

The school health index was completed and the lowest category was health education. As a course, health education is not offered here at CCMS.

The student representative, Carlos O. says that all is well with the student body.

Ms. Riley will be going to a technology conference (FETC). She is asking that emails are sent to her if you want her to look for anything special.
