Need student and parent members for the EESAC Committee
EESAC consists of 4 teachers, 4 parents, 1 student, 1 support staff, 1 local business representative, 1 Union representative
Prado indicates we need more kids

Date for next meeting 10/6/16 at 4 pm in room 64
Heras will email bylaws for review.
Principal update – Ms. Prado
1. Attend Program
a. 54 students – we need to address their attendance and reduce the number of possible truant students.
2. Official recruiting for Magnet programs begin October 3, 2016
a. 3rd magnet added to CCMS – STEM/STEAM
b. Neighboring elementary schools will be visiting soon.
3. Culinary/Science Departments have created a hydroponic lab.
4. Progress monitoring
a. Drives instruction
b. Teachers met by department to plan to implement Differentiated Instruction for accountability groups
c. Focus on instruction and analysis
5. Miami-Dade Partnerships
a. University of Miami – Juega – promotes positive behavior in Hispanic girls
b. YMCA – (Providing Zumba class for teachers on October 12)
c. Sports Grill
6. Open House on Tuesday – 54% parental participation
7. Professional Development Headquarters – Room 64
a. Have as many meetings there as possible as a school showcasing tool.
8. Title 1 – Bought one teacher position and 5 supplements.
9. Principal Budget Conference – October 4, 2016
10. CCMS will offer more high school courses in the 2016-2017 school year

Prado thanked Villazon for spearheading getting all the stakeholders to participate in the development of the School Improvement Plan and all the department chairs for their input.

• Prado has meeting set up with them to be a part of EESAC
