Topics Covered:

4:07 pm- meeting called to order. Prior meeting minutes motion to approve with corrections. 1st motion made by Stacy Ann Mills-Brooks and 2nd by Ms. Guerra.

10 participants at the start of the meeting. Diosdado Corrales, Rafael Crespo, Monika Lopez Guerra, Mohammed Ahmed, Stacy Ann Mills-Brooks, Nevian Brooks Ms. Evelyn Rodriguez, Maria Rivas, Allison Pena and Yasmine Quinones.
Corrections to minutes: Adjust December 2021 to reflect December 2020.

Principal Updates:
Honors Award ceremony Incentive program scheduled for 03/03/2021 at 5:30 or 6 pm via Zoom

-Subject selection sheet for 6th graders

-Marketing campaign for Magnet program which includes banner outside of school to for prospective students. 197 applicants for magnet school which is decline from prior year. Applications still being accepted despite deadline passed for magnet program. Virtual night scheduled for 02/23/2021, which will also include the feeder pattern schools.

United Way campaign was successful $5 for the week or $2 per day, if unable to participate for the entire day.

-STEAM
CCMS placed 3rd among all schools in Dade . Fairchild Garden in process currently awards funds to use for beautification process of school. Attempting to restore fish pond located at the school.

-New area Regional Superintendent changed.

-S.I.P
Science and Civic testing progress and the next meeting results should be available.

Title I Updates
-Math calculators being made available for students, 50 desktop computers with cameras to be received.
-38 new laptops ordered
- ESSER Tutoring to begin with 3 teachers already volunteering; 10 students identified with Level 1 and Level 2.
Title 3- ESOL Tutoring being made available.

-Black History Month
Every morning interesting facts played daily.
Mondays- Wear red, green, black
Friday- Luncheon

Students Update
Allison Pena- last Thursday was her birthday “finally a teenger”.
Nevian Brooks- Gift cards, zoo, museum or strap bags for Honor Roll students suggested.

Parents- No Updates

New Business
Country Club Middle School was not included in the initially targeted and advises schools for attendance Boundary changes. There is a boundary meeting if anyone would like to attend.
