Minutes Review:

· Minutes pass with corrections at 4:17 PM.

Principal Updates:

· Attendance competitions are held every month to determine which grade level has
the best attendance for the month.
· 6th grade students were the winners for the attendance challenge for the month
of October.
· Ms. Barroso has filled the clerical position.
· i-Ready challenge winners will be visited by Mr. Crespo’s candy cart every two
weeks.
· Collections for Project Up-Start are being gathered in the main office to assist
with students who are homeless.
· Thanksgiving luncheon for teachers will be held this Friday 11/19/21.
· Parents need to fill out the free and reduced lunch application in order to
maintain funding for the school.
· Elementary school students will be brought to Country Club to visit the school.


Title 1 Updates:

· Budget change will be made for Title 1 funding use of the interventionist
position. The federal government has provided ESSER funding which will be used
to hire for the interventionist position and regular funding will be used
purchase supplies for teachers.

SIP Updates:

· Additions were made to the SIP.
· Monthly data chats will be conducted with core-area teachers based on
Performance Matters data and i-Ready data.
· Professional Development session was held on October 29th, led by Ms. Picado and
Mr. Ahmed on how to pull reports from Performance Matters.
· Additional professional development opportunities will be offered by the
district to target specific areas of need.
· The school culture and climate section was updated to reflect the changes made
to the school discipline plan.
o Students will be required to place phones in their backpacks or
somewhere out of reach, to increase focus in class.
o Uniform jacket policy is also being enforced.
o Tardy and student ID policy is also being reinforced.
· Informal teacher observations will continue to occur monthly, and feedback will
provided to teachers based on the observation.
· Differentiated instruction will continue to be implemented based on data
analysis from reports pulled from Performance Matters and i-Ready.
· Department Heads will continue to provide support on check for understanding.

Teacher Updates:

· Dr. Miyar:
o Homecoming Dance was held on October 28th.
o Cross Country team participated in another competition.

Student Updates:

· No student updates at this moment.

Parent Updates:

· Ms. Brooks: will there be other activities for students later in the year?
o Requesting that phone calls be sent out as reminders for school-wide
events.

New Business:

· Considering adding black pants to the uniform.
