Motion to approve minutes by Ms. Rodriguez and seconded by Mrs. Iglesias
o Minutes approved by all members.
o End of Course Exam (EOC) for Algebra, Geometry, and Biology
o Schools continues to recruit for new students
Mr. Perez:
o Two new community business representatives: Melissa Jacobs and Miguel Bustamante
o Students will go to whole food supermarket four times a year to have hands-on activities to learn about healthy cooking and eating.
o They are also preparing a presentation for teachers and parents on wellness and healthy eating.
o Alternate teachers: Richard Ruiz and Mr. Courel will replace Ms. Conto.
o Ms. Milian will replace Ms. Johnson on the EESAC as teacher.
o Parent members: Rocio Bustamante, Helen Aguirre-Ferre,
o Student alternate: Camila Gimenez-Zapiola
From October 1, 2011 to January 15th, 2012, school will concentrate on recruiting for new students through magnet fairs at K-8 Centers and Middle Schools.
Orientation meetings will take place on Wednesdays at 6pm to help with parent orientation meetings and informational meetings.

All students applying to ISPA will be required to take a language proficiency test beginning in November.
The schools goal is 125 students for the 2012-2013 ninth grade class: 75 Spanish program, 25 Italian , and 25 French
Mr. Perez reviewed the School Improvement Plan:

All were in favor of the SIP plan.
Mr. Perez reviewed the elective offerings for next year and beyond

Additional teachers will be hired in the following years based on enrollment.
Mr. Perez asked if anyone had additional questions, comments, concerns.
Meeting concluded at 3:30 p.m.
